RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Indian Railways issued a notification for the recruitment of teachers and other non-teaching staff in various schools under the Ministry of Railways.Applications for these posts will commence soon. RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Important Dates
The official notification for the recruitment of teachers in schools under the Ministry of Railways was released on January 6, 2025. Applications must be submitted online. Interested candidates can start applying through the official portal of the recruitment authority from January 7. The application process will continue until February 6, 2025. Candidates need to register on the website first and then complete the application process. After submission, they must pay the prescribed application fee on February 7 or 8. Post payment, applicants can correct any errors in their application forms between February 9 and 18. Although the exam date has not been announced yet, candidates will be informed in due time.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Vacancy Details by Category
Out of the 753 vacancies, 187 positions are for PGT teachers, 338 for TGT teachers, and 188 for primary (PRT) teachers. Additionally, 18 positions are available in the Physical Education department. For non-teaching roles, 10 vacancies are for Librarians, 7 for Lab Assistants, and 3 for the Music department. Two additional positions are reserved for women candidates as assistant teachers.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Application Process
1. Candidates must first register with their username and password on the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (www.rrbapply.gov.in).
2. After logging in, they can access the application form by clicking the designated link.
3. The form requires personal details, educational qualifications, and other necessary information.
4. Scanned copies of educational certificates, a passport-sized photograph, a scanned signature, and a left-hand thumb impression must be uploaded.
5. After completing the form, candidates need to pay the application fee through online payment modes.
6. Applicants are advised to download and print a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Application Fee
For General, OBC, and EWS candidates, the application fee is ₹500. SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates need to pay ₹250. The fee can be paid via Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI. The fee must be submitted within the specified dates; otherwise, the application will be invalid.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications for each post: – For PRT (Primary Teacher) posts: Graduation with 50% marks and a training certificate are mandatory. – For TGT and PGT posts: Postgraduate qualification with 50% marks and a B.Ed degree is required. – For Music Teacher posts: A graduate degree in Music is necessary. – For other posts: Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Age Limit
The minimum age for all posts is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 48 years as of January 1, 2025. Candidates falling within this age bracket are eligible to apply.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their application forms. In the first phase, a computer-based test (CBT) will be conducted, followed by an interview, a skill assessment test, and finally, document verification. The CBT will consist of 100 questions, with 1 mark awarded for each question. The distribution is as follows: 10 questions on General Science – 10 questions on Mathematics – 15 questions on General Knowledge – 50 questions on Professional Skills – 15 questions on Reasoning Negative marking will be applicable; for every 3 incorrect answers, 1 mark will be deducted. Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for an interview.
RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025: Salary Structure by Post
Selected candidates will receive salaries as per the 7th Pay Commission. The basic pay will range between ₹35,400 and ₹44,900, along with a grade pay of ₹2,800. Additional benefits include House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Provident Fund (PF), and medical allowances. Initially, PGT and TGT teachers will receive ₹47,600 and ₹44,900, respectively. Salaries for other posts will vary as per the pay scale.
